The organization has chosen ADE as their official launching moment and in order to celebrate this moment, they dive in deep with a five-day program, inviting several artists to perform and offering a mesmerizing view over the IJ River.
The series of events will be kicked off on Wednesday by John Digweed, hosting his label night Bedrock. Digweed is noted for adopting tracks with new and different styles in his sets. On Thursday, labels Moon Harbour and Exploited Rec are joining forces for one night. The Leipzig-based Moon Harbour was founded in 2000 by Matthias Tanzman and offers a portfolio of local as well as international acts. Exploited Recordings from Berlin was unfounded by Shir Khan in 2007 and now plays host to some wide-ranging and innovative electronic talent.
During Boathouse Sessions on Saturday, the South African live-act GoldFish will be manning the decks the entire night. The duo creates dance music with elements of house, pop, jazz and African music. Guti will take care of ADE Sunday by celebrating his 40th birthday at daytime and Happy Feelings are closing out the Ponton program during the night.
Floating along the river IJ, this location presents a club with a mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces. One excerpt from this venue is the main room which features a big glass window behind the DJ booth allowing connection to the view over the river. Plans in the near future are to build on this solid foundation and present more day and night events in this venue, taking elements from various aspects of nightlife and club culture and presenting this in an open and carefree setting.
