~ Public transport
Travel with ease from event to event by tram, metro, bus or ferry with Amsterdam’s public transport. Download the GVB travel app to plan your trips. If you’ve purchased the ADE Pro Pass, you’ll receive a personal discount code with which you can unlock a ticket in the app to travel for free during ADE.
Not a Pro Pass holder? No worries, as part of our partnership with GVB we can offer all ADE visitors a 20% discount on Day tickets. More info below.

GVB free travel for ADE Pro's
Exclusive to all ADE Pro Pass buyers, GVB offers public transport, free of charge, for five whole days. When you collect your badge & wristband at one of our Info & Ticket Desks, you'll receive a personal code to unlock your 5-day free travel pass in the GVB Travel App.
Have you received your GVB free travel code at the Info & Ticket Desk? Then it's time to travel for free! Follow the steps below to connect the code to your GVB account. These will also be explained on the physical voucher you will receive at the Info & Ticket Desk during ADE.
Step 1: Install the app
Download the GVB travel app.
When it's set in Dutch and you'd like to switch to English, go to 'Meer' - 'Voorkeuren aanpassen' - 'Taal' and switch to English.
Step 2: Add free travel code
Go to 'Tickets' - and scroll down to: "I have an action code"
Step 3: Enter the code
Add your personal promo code & 'Confirm'.
Ready, set.. travel for free!

Not every ticket includes a free GVB travel pass.
Not a Pro Pass holder? No worries, as part of our partnership with GVB we can offer all ADE visitors a 20% discount on Day tickets via the ADE webshop.
Simply follow these steps to claim your discount:
1. Go to the ADE webshop on the GVB sales page here.
2. Select the day, time and product.
3. Enter your email address and apply the discount code: ADE2026
4. Pay with IDEAL or another payment method.
5. Your ticket will be sent by email and can then be added to your wallet for travel.

~ Getting around Amsterdam by boat
Experience Amsterdam from its most unique perspective: the canals. With the official ADE Spritz & Beatz Boat, powered by Canal Tours Amsterdam, you can hop on and off as many times as you like while travelling to or between ADE venues. Enjoy laid-back beats from the onboard DJ, grab a drink from the bar and meet fellow ADE visitors and music lovers along the way. It’s a relaxed and social way to move between the city’s ADE hotspots while enjoying Amsterdam from the water.
Make the most of ADE with the ADE Spritz & Beatz Boat. Cruise between Damrak, the Spritz & Beatz Bar at Leidseplein and the ADE Pro location on Keizersgracht. Choose the ticket that fits your ADE plans.
~ To Amsterdam by train
From all parts of the Netherlands you can get to Amsterdam by train. Plan your journey via the NS website.
Do you come from abroad? When you arrive at Schiphol Airport, the easiest way to travel to the Amsterdam city center is by train; the station is located directly underneath the airport's arrival hall. The train takes you to Amsterdam Central Station within 20 minutes. Train tickets are available at the ticket office in the airport's main hall and/or from the yellow ticket machines.

~ Cycle around the city
Move around as a real dutchie! You can read more about cycling in Amsterdam here. Make sure to always park your bicycle properly in the designated bicycle spots or barges to prevent it from being removed by the local authorities.
You can read more about bike hire locations below. Besides these, often hotels offer bike rental as well. Check your hotel for the possibilities.
