Festival FAQ

The first huge waves of artists for ADE 2023 have been revealed but more events and artists will still be announced. You can expect the full line-up mid-September.

Get your ticket(s) via the "buy tickets" button on the page of the event you'd like to attend.

Not to worry! Make sure to contact the event (or their ticketing provider) you are visiting as soon as possible with as many details about your order; name, email address, amount of tickets, etc. Once they've recovered your order, the tickets can be resend to your email.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.

Please double-check the promotors or venues website to be sure you can enter the event!

The Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation is the umbrella over the entire festival program however the bookings are arranged by the official ADE venue itself. We therefore recommend you to contact venues and/or promotors directly to check if they have interest and availability.

Yes, the ADE Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events.

Be aware though that there are over 500 events during ADE that you can enter with the Pro Pass wristband and that ADE cannot guarantee access. There is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for wristband holders. This means for some of the more crowded events you have to arrive early. Once capacity is reached, we will go over in a one in-one-out policy.

The ADE Pro Pass is the perfect fit if you are planning on enjoying the combination of day and night events. If you want guaranteed access to a particular festival event, we advise you to get a single festival ticket.

The conference program is complete!

The ADE Pro Pass  provides access to our complete conference program. As well as:

+ Year round access to ADE Pro's networking platform & database
+ Join dedicated networking events and sessions
+ Access to all official ADE Business Hubs
+ Access to the complete festival program (limited capacity at venues)
+ Access to the Arts & Culture program (limited capacity at venues)
+ Receive the official ADE 2023 backpack

Separate tickets for ADE Lab, ADE BMIM, and ADE Green are also available on our ticket page.

Yes, the ADE Pro Pass is a personal ticket and therefore has to be personalized.

By personalizing your pass you'll get access to our online delegates database when this is online, access to the ADE conference (including a badge), and a wristband that grants access to the full ADE festival program.

When you make your order you can personalize your conference tickets straight away or decide to do so later. Please make sure to personalize your tickets as soon as possible to get access to the online delegate database and access to ADE in October.

Be aware: unpersonalized tickets will not receive access to event.

Yes, you can submit your request to info@amsterdam-dance-event.nl and we will take care of it.

To make this process faster make sure to add the following information:

- Full name
- Job title & catogory
- Email adress
- Country

Cancellation of conference tickets is possible until one month prior to ADE, 18th of September. Please be aware that we charge €25,- service costs, as stated in our terms & conditions.

You can send your cancellation request to info@amsterdam-dance-event.nl.

Article 53 & 54 of the VAT Directive include a specific guideline for (international) events, stating VAT must be charged in the country where the actual event takes place.

- Business to customers (B2C) services relating to cultural, artistic, sporting, scientific, educational, entertainment and similar activities will be taxed at the place where those activities actually take place [Article 54 of the VAT Directive].

- Business to business (B2B) services in respect of admission to cultural, artistic, sporting, scientific, educational, entertainment and similar events will be taxed at the place where those events actually take place [Article 53 of the VAT Directive].

Please refer to your tax advisors to check if/how the tax can be (partially) reclaimed.

The program for this year is complete. The application form for ADE 2024 will be available online soon.

About ADE

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is the most upfront, influential and educational gathering for electronic music and its industry.With its conference, festival and educational breeding ground, ADE is able to create not only the biggest yearly industry tent-pole moment, but also a solid foundation for future generations of electronic music professionals.

The ADE Foundation is a non-profit organisation that organises the conferences and its arts & culture program. The events taking part in the festival programme are organised by individual 3rd party promoters. ADE 2019 attracted a total of more than 1,000 events in nearly 200 locations across its multidisciplinary program; for five days and nights, the city of Amsterdam truly breathes electronic music.

ADE 2023 will take place 18/19/20/21/22 October 2023.
