Electronic music was never just music
Electronic music has always been connected to artistic experimentation, activism, nightlife and grassroots communities. From visual art and film to performance and technology, these worlds have continuously shaped each other.
ADE Arts & Culture explores these connections through interdisciplinary projects across Amsterdam, rooted in the club culture and communities that continue to shape electronic music. The program also creates space for new and emerging projects that push artistic research forward and might not otherwise happen during ADE.
At its core is the role of electronic music and nightlife as spaces for connection, expression and exchange, offering new ways to experience the culture that surrounds the music.

Funding Partners
The Amsterdam Fund for the Arts (AFK) is the fund of and for cultural metropolis Amsterdam. With the multi-year subsidies as part of the Kunstenplan 2025-2028 AFK supports ADE’s Arts & Culture program and ADE Lab. This support enables ADE to invest in artistic development, experimental and cross cultural programs.
The Performing Arts Fund NL (FPK) is one of six culture funds financed by the Dutch government. With the support of multi-year subsidies 2025-2028 it enables ADE to strengthen and professionalize its artistic program of professional performing arts.
FAQ
ADE Arts & Culture is where the electronic music scene meets art. It is a festival programme focusing on the crossovers between electronic music, night culture, and other art forms. You can expect a wide range of cultural events, from live concerts to audiovisual performances, art installations, exhibitions, workshops and much more. The ADE Arts & Culture program aims to offer the full spectrum of electronic music experiences, reflecting the best and most creative projects currently on offer.
The Arts & Culture program takes place throughout the whole city, from clubs to museums, theaters, churches and unexpected locations.
If this sounds like you, we recommend you to purchase the individual Festival tickets. They are perfect for those who want to dip in and out of the festival scene or want guaranteed access to one or more events. With these tickets, you have the freedom to craft your own unique ADE experience.

The Arts & Culture program is accessible with the ADE Pro Pass. Please note that there is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for Pro Pass holders. This means for some of the more crowded events you have to arrive early. Once capacity is reached, we will go over in a full-for-now policy. The event organizer will decide when and if more people are allowed to go in.
The ADE Pro Pass is the perfect fit if you are planning on enjoying the combination of day and night events. If you want guaranteed access to a particular event, we advise you to get a single ticket instead.
