The Rough Guide Through ADE Wednesday

To lead you through our extensive program and make you ADE ready we'll share a number of daily highlights.

Listen, learn and get inspired by the pro's
The ADE 2019 program starts off today and will have a lot to choose from. We first dive into ADE Pro, taking place at the main conference location DeLaMar Theater. The schedule is packed with verticals like ADE Health, ADE Live Forum and ADE Legal, plus other interesting keynotes and panels like Only One in the Room – the diversity question behind the scenes and The Show Must Go On by Cercle where they will be digging deep in the how to's of a minimalist approach to filming and producing events. Learn more about the electronic act that captures the synthesis between the old and new during Riding the Wave of Technology with GAIA, and also stop by at ADE's country focus program on Canada and Chile.

De Brakke Grond
is set to open its doors to host the first topics and speakers of ADE Sound Lab with a peak into Richie Hawtin, Modeselektor and SOPHIE's flightcase, a Rhytmicon demonstration and much more. During the evening ADE BeamLab takes place. Hear what's next on visuals, stage design and art from the creators of industry defining visual experiences for Drake, Kraftwerk Berlin, Glastonbury Festival and Burning Man.

At the Generator Hostel you will find ADE University, where students and young professionals can listen to and learn from industry heads. Be ready for a refresher course by Sprite to kickstart your career, to meet the team behind Oliver Heldens and hear an interesting conversation between a young professional at the beginning of his career and a more seasoned pro in the same work field at what is next with Disco Donny and Dominic Furber.

To get in the know about the Chinese industry head over to De Balie for House of China, hosting interesting panels like Holograms, Robots & Storytelling; The Future of Clubs and Festivals, Buying IP or Building it and China's New Wave where they will take a look at the countries new generation of electronic music professionals.

Your daily dose of culture
The daytime program will consist of more than only the conference schedule. Get prepared for art, film, music, meditation and much more. Start your day with some Disco gym at Desmet Studio to get that energy running. Continue with visiting the installation Diadromi at Mediamatic from visual artist Heleen Blanken, showcasing different components of the earth's system. Other must visits are ADE Zen Space, a place to unwind, find your inner balance and sleep, plus the opening of MoMi: the Museum of Modern Instruments. Go to the documentary Midnight Frontier that tells the story of activists that stand at the frontline of LGBTQ+ activism in Georgia and the classic Metropolis with a special live score. And don't forget to pay Amsterdam's Night-mayor a visit in his official residence at the Katzenclub in the A'DAM Tower.

If you'd like to do some "shopping", stop by at the different (temporary) pop-up stores of Spinnin' Records, Revealed Recordings and Mary Go Wild. Other interesting hubs to pay a visit are The Ballantines House, where they will premiere their documentary that explores the origins and histories of Output, Nitsa, Sub Club and The Garten. Also check out their exhibition on the venues (curated by Mixmag), as well as a panel talk featuring the key figures. At the Ticketswap Hideout they will be focusing on education, connection and music, with panels on getting paid, promoted and finding your way from mix to the main stage.

Discovering ADE By Night
With the learnings and inspiration in your pocket it is time to venture into the night. And what greater way to do this than by joining the ADE Opening concert by SOHN and the Metropoleorkest at De Melkweg. Once warmed up continue with some Cumbia Beats at OT301 or visit Bret with Cosmic Force, Solid Blake & Jasmín for darker & faster pace electronics. More into harder styles? Roughstate at Lil' Amsterdam Central Station will be your place to be. Make sure to also stop by at Paradiso for ADE LIVE with an exclusive I🖤Techno set from De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig among other great performances. Head to the Scheepsbouwloods in Amsterdam's North for DGTL featuring Richie Hawtin, Modeselektor and SOPHIE.
