KawaBata (JP)

KawaBata is a 25-year-old Japanese DJ and producer, born in 2000. He was introduced to
music through the piano in early childhood, developing a strong musical foundation. Inspired by
the EDM boom of the 2010s, he started producing music at the age of 19.
He started his DJ career in 2024, performing at renowned Tokyo venues such as WOMB in
Shibuya and WARP in Shinjuku. His DJ sets focus on Tech House and Techno, blending
rhythmic grooves with melodic flows.
As a producer, he specialises in Progressive House, emphasising emotional expression and
storytelling through sound. Although his approach differs from that of his DJ performances, it
remains deeply connected to his musical identity.
He is also a member of staff at 3FAITHS DJ SCHOOL, the largest DJ school in Japan, where he
supports and mentors aspiring DJs.
Valuing melody and harmony and the emotions they evoke, he aims to expand his creative
range across genres and continue evolving as an artist.
