Scouting Amsterdam’s southern district for action? We got you covered. Together with Desperados we compiled a few tips to show you what’s going down down south.

Amsterdam’s Southside harbours everything from swanky neighbourhoods, bars and restaurants to mega venues like the Johan Cruijff Arena, RAI Amsterdam and the Ziggo Dome. This district provides a wide array of genres and subspecies of electronic music, so whether you’re in for big room EDM or intimate underground clubbing experiences: South has it all.

The Bijlmer area has a lot to offer tonight, as AFAS Live, right across the Johan Cruijff ArenA, is about to be taken over by none other than Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano. The duo is preparing for a rhythmic celebration of music, intensified by a visual spectacle. They will perform their biggest solo show to date during a 3.5 hour set.

Pinkman Label Night | Cinetol | 22:00 - 05:00

Cinetol is a creative space for music, art and film housed in a former community centre. They adhere to a true DIY mentality, and will have Pinkman Records over from Rotterdam tonight. The label is showcasing its signature sounds of rough-edged wave, electro, and acid with Dollkraut, Kris Baha, Marsman, Mick Wills and Post Ave.

Do not let the concrete walls fool you; JACK Amsterdam, located in a former prison, is an open minded and unconventional club offering all kinds of electronic sounds. Dutch producer Orlando Voorn and Giuseppe Scarano are inviting an international DJ crew to guide you through the night, featuring Chicago house pioneer Paul Johnson, Nico Lahs, Spaceman and Suizer.

Tomorrowland: Our Story | Ziggo Dome | 19:00 - 23:00

In just fifteen years, Tomorrowland has managed to take the world by storm. The EDM Institute is celebrating the second part of its anniversary at Ziggo Dome tonight. If you want to be a part of their story and hear Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, GOOSE, Metropole Orkest, Netsky, Steve Aoki, The Bloody Beetrootsand Tiësto along the way: this is your chance.
