Joseph Capriati (IT)

Joseph Capriati is one of the most respected and influential names in electronic music. Emerging from Naples’ techno scene, the Italian DJ, producer, and label boss has spent nearly two decades developing a signature sound that moves between techno, house, and beyond.

Having performed in over 70 countries across six continents, Capriati has built a truly global career, appearing at iconic venues and festivals including Berghain, Awakenings, Time Warp, Fabric, Monegros, Ultra Music Festival, Womb and Amnesia Ibiza. He has also collaborated with artists including Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Danny Tenaglia, Joey Beltram, DJ Pierre and Louie Vega.

A DJ first and foremost, Capriati began mixing at just 11 years old in his hometown of Caserta before emerging as one of Naples’ brightest talents. Mentored by Rino Cerrone, he made his international debut in 2007 and quickly established himself as a producer through releases on Drumcode, CLR, Analytic Trail and Globox Records.

His career has been defined by both versatility and endurance, from his acclaimed fabric 80 compilation and the launch of his Redimension label to legendary back-to-back sets with Carl Cox, Marco Carola and Adam Beyer. His marathon performances include a 25+ hour set in Miami and a 27-hour set at Sunwaves in Romania.

In 2020, Capriati released his third studio album, Metamorfosi, marking a new chapter in his artistic evolution. The project developed into his Metamorfosi residency concept, first launched at Amnesia Ibiza in 2022 and later expanded to Hï Ibiza.

In 2025, Capriati further expanded his artistic vision with the launch of Metamorfosi Records in partnership with Insomniac, creating a platform for both established and emerging artists. Continuing to evolve while remaining rooted in the dancefloor, Capriati remains a key force in shaping the future of electronic music.
