The artistry of DJ Khabir appears as a rare find in a world dominated by electronic music lacking danger, urgency and authenticity. The form he has authored, Dek Bass, emerged into a global consciousness over the past two years, seemingly at direct odds with the fabricated stages audiences have become accustomed to in a port Boiler Room world, embedded in a seemingly parallel universe where three story stacks of sixty subwoofers in a rice field was, and is, absolutely normal. The music often mirrors sport more than anything akin to the "sound system" culture it falsely has been attached to by some observers.
