Q&A and Cypher: 5 Year Anniversary Rafting Goods

Speaker: Tim Beumers, Mike Tibbert, $KEER&BOO$, Dookie, Ella John

Moderator: Gailor Kiaku

For the past five years the Rafting Goods movement has carried the torch for MC culture in The Netherlands, creating a strong platform for a diverse and talented group of hip-hop artists with an overlap in attitude, energy, taste and sound. The hip-hop crew has released top quality hip-hop albums over the years by established Dutch hip-hop veterans and exciting emerging artists alike, all the while, working diligently to make space for MC’s that embrace some key original stylings, sounds and sonics of more classic hip-hop, as well as creatively and powerfully reinterpreting them for a new era.

We celebrate crew love with Rafting Goods and discuss the artistic and economic pros for solo artists and crews, of creating your own lane and movement and uniting under one cause. What are the challenges of bringing such a diverse group of strong headed artists from all over the country together to create and perform? How do they see hip-hop and MC culture in particular develop in the country and what are their strategic and creative goals for the next five years?

Please note: this panel is in Dutch.
