Ella John (NL)

Ella John is a versatile artist who transforms life lessons into powerful, personal music. With a distinctive blend of hip-hop, trap and dancehall, she combines heavy beats and mellow melodies with emotion and thoughtful lyrics. Since her debut in 2017, she has released several EPs, singles and her debut album EAZY, collaborating with artists including Zwart Licht, Rafting Goods, Winne, Nina and SMIB. Ella has performed at venues and festivals such as Paradiso, Melkweg, Zwarte Cross, Woo-Hah, Milkshake Festival and Boiler Room, and has appeared on 101Barz and VPRO On Stage. In 2024, EAZY marked a new phase in her career, followed by her first solo performance, Ella John x Friends, at Melkweg and her second Rafting Goods Pack Mainstage project in collaboration with producer Sneadr.

In 2026, Ella continues to showcase her versatility. With her upcoming EP SO BIG, created in collaboration with producer Mike Tibbert, she explores themes of self-worth, identity, growth and self-love. To accompany the release, she is organising an intimate listening session tour across Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam, taking listeners behind the stories and lyrics of her music. She is also returning to Belgium for a performance, contributing to the 101Barz x Het Moment studio session, and featuring on the soundtracks of the debut feature film Sugar by Amira Duinhouwer, with her tracks “HmmHmm” and “Weh Yuh Deh”. In addition, Ella is the new voice-over artist for Eneco’s campaigns in the Netherlands, further expanding her artistic versatility from music and performance into storytelling and voice-over work.
