William Morgan (US)

William is co-founder of Restless Egg, a pre-seed fund and accelerator built to find and support cultural first movers. New subcultures form around emerging technologies long before the behaviors within them become established markets and Restless Egg backs founders embedded in those scenes who can spot which behaviors will endure and build products native to them. Based in London and Los Angeles, Restless Egg has backed companies working across AI companions, multiplayer AI, robotics, music technology, creative tooling, and live entertainment.

The cultural first mover, someone who uses cultural insight to build a great product, is an increasingly important founder archetype, but the venture ecosystem has little visibility into the world of art, tech and design. To bridge this gap, William has collaborated with organizations including Tate Modern, Serpentine Arts Technologies, Southbank Centre, Mozilla Foundation, Antikythera, Granola, and ElevenLabs. He is also a research fellow at Goldsmiths, where he is helping to develop a degree pathway in creative entrepreneurship.

William holds a PhD from UC Berkeley, where his research focused on the philosophy of artificial intelligence.
