East - Friday

Thursday, 17 October 2019
Amsterdam Dance Event's third chapter is unfolding as we speak, and if you’re looking for adventure in Amsterdam’s eastern district, you’ve come to the right place. Together with Desperados, we compiled four tips that will kick your ADE into third gear.

Amsterdam’s picturesque Eastside makes a big contribution to ADE's cultural program and houses some of the city’s larger night venues. Across five days East houses vinyl markets, AlgoRaves, boutique clubbing, ADE University, and exhibitions. We’re here to highlight just a few of todays offering to help you find your way around.

Live Coding Sessions | DOKA | 19:30 - 22:00
Over the last few years, an emerging niche phenomenon has come to the surface: live coded arts and music, also known as ‘algorave’. It refers to a combination of live coded music and visuals that is gaining fans around the world. If you’re looking for a thoroughly audio visual experience, be sure to drop by DOKA in the basement of the Volkshotel to experience an algorave first-hand.

Lotgenoten x Rhythm Section | De Tropen | 22:00 - 07:00

For the first of two nights, the Tropenmuseum (Museum of the Tropics) is the backdrop for a musical extravaganza, melting disco, house and acid from London, Paris, Chicago and Detroit. The neo-renaissance building is the domain of Bradley Zero, Ge-Ology, Jamie 3:26, Jeremy Underground and Julien Simmons, who’ll help you find your groove until the morning comes.

Verknipt | Amsterdam Studio’s | 22:00 - 08:00

Local crew Verknipt is also setting up for a second chapter tonight, and this one might be even more fast-paced than the last. An all-star cast featuring the likes of B.Traits, Cleric, Deborah de Luca, Fatima Hajji, Gary Beck, ROD, The Advent, and Ø [Phase] are about to unleash techno mayhem at the former film complex Amsterdam Studio’s. Prepare yourself in for a wild ride.

Skyline Sessions | Q-Factory | 23:00 - 06:00

If big room melodic house is more to your liking, be sure to take a look at cultural complex Q-Factory near Amstel station, as Lucas and Steve are welcoming a group of musical friends behind the decks. You can find Breathe Carolina, Deepend, Jay Hardway, Lucas & Steve themselves, and TV Noise behind the decks for the fourth consecutive edition of Skyline Sessions.
