Breakfast Club returns to ADE with a weekender at Hemkade 48
Early birds and after-party-goers' favourite affair is making an exciting return to ADE this year: a weekender at the legendary Hemkade 48. Between the extensive line-up and the venue choice, several highlights are worth mentioning.
Officially called North Sea Venue since its latest renovation, the old industrial complex best known as Hemkade 48, is no ordinary venue. Built as an oil barn factory in 1947 in the Amsterdam School architectural style, the location has been repurposed several times. After turning into an event venue in the 90’s, it soon became a hotspot in the Dutch Hardcore scene housing parties in the likes of Thunderdome and Multigroove.
It is no coincidence that Breakfast Club chose this location with a rich and compelling past. The underground atmosphere this old factory still brings about will certainly make this year’s Breakfast Club one to remember, not to forget the line-up they have carefully curated for this occasion.
A total of 57 artists will be playing in five different areas this venue offers. Expect a list of night life icons from Berlin and Detroit to show their magic behind the decks, along with many other gems gathered from around the world.
On ADE Saturday, the stage will welcome Bambounou, DJ Nobu, DJ Stingray 313 b2b Marcel Dettmann, Dr. Rubinstein b2b Freddy K, Ivan Smagghe & Vladimir Ivkovic presenting IDMEMO, Nathan Kofi, Quest, Sansibar, and plenty more.
The Sunday program similarly features a number of exquisite picks including AceMoMa, Carista, Convextion (live), Eris Drew b2b Russell El Butler, Peach, Tsepo to name a few. What’s more, Club Closer from Kyiv is presenting part of this day’s line-up, inviting the likes of Borys b2b Noizar, Ponura b2b Timur Basha, Volodymyr Gnatenko (live).
Staying true to their roots, Breakfast Club invites you to come in before 14h. And to ease your travel to and from the venue, they will provide a shuttle service, available in addition to the usual ferry going between Central Station and the HEM-terrain.
