Bambounou (FR)

Artist & Speaker

Born and raised in Paris with Malian and Polish heritage, Bambounou emerged in the early 2010s as one of the leading voices of French electronic music, cutting his teeth at iconic Paris institutions Social Club and Concrete. Since then, his distinctive approach has taken him to dancefloors around the world, with recent appearances at Club Space Miami, We Love Green and Dour Festival, alongside regular sets at Circoloco in Ibiza.

From early releases on 50Weapons, Modeselektor’s imprint, to more conceptual work on AD93, he has refined a sound where groove continually slips just out of reach, creating friction without losing momentum. Through BAMBE, his own imprint launched in 2021, he has continued to explore stripped-back, percussive and tactile club music, while a prolific 2026 has seen him release That Thing through Yoyaku, the Parsons EP on AUS Music, and rework Peven Everett’s “I Can’t Believe I Loved Her” for King Street Sounds.
