Yuki Kempees (NL)

Growing up in a creative environment Yuki was destined to be an artist. With a music teaching father his first love became the love for Blues music and lyrical expression. Discovering the boundaries of creating, at the age of 24 he wrote the best selling Dutch novel Cirkels Zijn Alleen Mooi Als Ze Rond Zijn (The Beauty Lies Within Round Circles). As a founder of several creative concepts Yuki found his way back into his first love: Music. Creating concepts for big Dutch music festivals as Mysteryland and Solar, he found the path to the stage and became a live vocal performer. In 2014 he became part of a local party Kris Kross, joining them as vocalist. Kris Kross Amsterdam was formed as a production and live performance group with two DJ’s and frontman Yuki on vocals. After producing hit singles “SEX” with LA based DJ trio Cheat Codes, "Are You Sure?" and "Whenever" With Conor Maynard, Kris Kross Amsterdam toured the world playing festivals like Ultra Miami, Korea, China, Tomorrowland and Parookaville. Meanwhile Yuki started his own clothing brand, produced music for famous Youtubers and Instagram celebrities, designed festival merchandise for the Heineken Group and writes a monthly column in Dutch leading fashion magazine GLAMOUR. He became one of the leading Dutch male social media influencers by creating content and being an ambassador of a.o Samsung and Red Bull. In 2019 he will release his first solo EP consisting of experimental modern day urban music.
