Diamanda La Berge Dramm (NL)
Diamanda La Berge Dramm is one of the most prominent performers of contemporary classical music of her generation. In her artistic practice as a violinist, singer and composer, she continuously explores the interplay between voice and violin. In 2018, Diamanda became the first string soloist to win the Dutch Classical Talent Award, one of many recognitions of her work. Her longstanding collaboration with British poet SJ Fowler resulted in the EP Beastings (2019) and the album Chimp (2022).
Diamanda plays an acoustic Andranik Gaybaryan violin (2014), acquired with support from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and the Stichting Eigen Muziekinstrumentenfonds, as well as an NS Design electric violin. Her work receives structural support from the Kersjes Fonds, the Fonds Podiumkunsten and the Loyola Stichting.
