Chalaka Sathsara Wayantha, widely known as WAYA (SL), is a Sri Lankan DJ and music producer recognized for his emotionally resonant sets and genre-blending productions. His musical journey began after school, first as a mobile DJ experimenting with diverse styles before discovering his true calling in tech house and progressive house. WAYA’s early exposure to the international music scene during his time in China helped him absorb new sounds and ideas, which he later fused into his performances. Upon returning to Sri Lanka, he took on residencies at iconic venues—most notably at Hotel Vibration in Hikkaduwa—where his ability to guide crowds through rhythmic journeys made him a crowd favorite. Now fully focused on production, WAYA is channeling his creative energy into crafting original tracks and remixes rooted in deep grooves and melodic progressions.
