Toronto-born and now Montreal-based, VANRIP is entering a new chapter after an eight-year retirement from the project. His newest release, “I Like You A Lot,” created with Truth x Lies and featuring WEiRD GRRL, arrived July 24, 2026 through Westend’s New York-based Trace Amounts imprint. The record has already earned support from AFROJACK, Westend and SIDEPIECE.

VANRIP’s return has also attracted the attention of one of house music’s defining figures. After receiving roughly 300 bootlegs of his chart-topping single “Dior” with Chrystal, MK singled out VANRIP’s version as his favourite of the entire group and backed the remix.

Before stepping away, VANRIP built a catalogue spanning Trace Amounts, Dim Mak, Enhanced Music, Physical Presents, Virgin, Universal Music, Selected. and Brooklyn Fire. His releases, collaborations and remixes—including work with Shaun Frank (KASABLANCA), Dansyn, Felix Cartal, Selena Gomez and Marshmello—have generated more than 50 million combined plays across Spotify, YouTube and SoundCloud. His remix of “Wolves” alone has surpassed 21 million views on YouTube.
