Rob Simon (NL)

Rob is the Director and Co-owner of the Amsterdam-based event agency Chasing the Hihat, as well as a Board Member of the Evenementen Vereniging Amsterdam (EVA, Amsterdam Event Association). In these roles, he oversees flagship festivals and creative concepts—including Lago Lago, komm schon Alter, and De Zon—while actively advocating for the interests, innovation, and long-term sustainability of Amsterdam’s event sector.

With a background in Communications & Marketing and as co-founder of the now retired concept Next Monday's Hangover (launched in 2011), Rob brings extensive experience to the electronic music and cultural landscape. At Chasing the Hihat, he worked his way up from event management to executive leadership, where he is responsible for strategy, operations, and overall creative direction.
