OEFMEISTER (SR)

Oefmeister, born Raoef Nabibaks, is a dedicated house music DJ from Suriname known for his deep respect for electronic music culture and his refined, groove-focused sound. His style is rooted in classic and modern house, characterized by warm rhythms, strong basslines, and carefully built musical journeys rather than short hype-driven sets.

Oefmeister approaches DJing as a craft. He is recognized for his technical precision, musical selection, and ability to read a crowd while staying true to the essence of house music. His sets often blend underground influences with soulful and rhythmic elements, creating an atmosphere that connects dancers to the core of the music.

A key milestone in his development was attending the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) in the Netherlands. ADE exposed him to the global electronic music industry—top-tier DJs, producers, labels, and emerging trends—which further sharpened his artistic vision. This international experience strengthened his understanding of house music as a culture, not just a genre, and continues to influence his sound and professional mindset.

In Suriname, Oefmeister is respected as a culture carrier—someone who prioritizes quality, musical integrity, and long-term growth of the house scene. He represents a bridge between local talent and the international house movement, inspiring upcoming DJs to invest in knowledge, discipline, and authenticity.

DJ Oefmeister stands for pure house music, evolution, and respect for the craft.
