Joost Geurts (NL)
Managing Director, Beatport Europe Joost leads Beatport’s activities in Europe, where he focuses on localizing the service to connect all European dance music fans. This includes presenting popular music genres by territory, as well as through local news and live streams from events, festivals and clubs. He comes to Beatport from SFX which he joined in 2014 as the marketing director for Europe, with responsibility for the marketing of the European events and festivals and the integration of Beatport through the live streams of Defqon.1 and Sensation. Previously, Joost was head of brand entertainment at Heineken International, in charge of the partnership between Heineken and Sensation in Asia from 2012 to 2014 as well as for Heineken’s 'drink responsibly' TV campaign with Armin van Buuren. Next to strategic and creative music campaigns, Joost led Heineken’s global partnership with James Bond SKYFALL in 2012 and was responsible for the global brand activations of Heineken's UEFA Champions League sponsorship from 2005 to 2010.Joost holds an MBA in business marketing from the Radboud University Nijmegen. He is based in Amsterdam.
