Wynnie Mynerva (PE)

Wynnie Mynerva (b. 1992, Lima) lives and works between Berlin and Barcelona. Their pictorial and performative practice is developed in close collaboration with the transgender and queer communities they belong to. Always autobiographical, Mynerva's work explores the limits of the flesh, the body and desire, and confronts the violence tied to race, gender, and sexuality. Through speculative fiction, they invent new myths and legends and irreverently subvert colonial religious symbols.

Solo exhibitions include Société, Berlin (2025); Mayoral, Barcelona (2025); Gathering, London (2024); Fondazione Memmo, Rome (2024); and the New Museum, New York (2023). Their work has also been shown at MACBA, Barcelona (2025); Eye Filmmuseum, Amsterdam (2024); CIFO Art, Miami (2023); and Sargent's Daughters, New York (2023).
