Jaco Schilp (NL)

Jaco Schilp is an immersive digital artist, curator and light designer, known for physical-digital artworks that merge technology with the physical world. His recent work is built on 3D-scanned data sets: sculptural light works and real-time process artworks that bring together sound, light, interactive sensors and video.

His interest in immersive, video-projected environments was sparked by the underground rave scene and club culture of the Netherlands. His work has been presented at museums, galleries and festivals.

He is one of the co-founders and curators of Uncloud, a foundation and platform for interdisciplinary art and experimental contemporary sound in Utrecht.

His practice is international. He works regularly in Mexico City with artists from the audiovisual, dance and visual-art scenes there. He is part of LiGHT-UP Collective in Utrecht, making large-scale projections on historic buildings, among them the Grote Kerk in The Hague, and inside the Gashouder in Amsterdam.
