In a very short span of time, Goos has risen to remarkable prominence as a promising artist. With a combination of steady, yet very well received gigs, Goos brings a distinctive energy to the floor. His sound ranges from intricate melodies to chunky basslines, often inspired by earthy tones from around the world. Goos was born in Doha, Qatar to musically inclined parents who introduced him to rock music at a very young age. This early onset of music led to a gamut of musical influences in his life ranging from Led Zeppelin, The Doors and Pink Floyd. His deep- seated love for percussion instruments led Goos on a pursuit to learn the Mridangam. This subsequently enabled him to also take up drumming, giving him a well-rounded understanding of percussion. Goos discovered his passion for dance music through the unique sounds of Eric Prydz and Roger Sanchez. What set him on the path to pursue music was his dream encounter with idol Roger Sanchez in Amsterdam. Goos then did a short course at Themusicscool in Bangalore that set the stage for his future performances. Goos has played alongside international artists such as Roger Sanchez, Kid Crème and Funkagenda at the WonderWall festival in Goa. Goos has also played at the Satellite festival in Goa alongside many local acts apart from artists from the Anjunadeep roster. Goos has also supported Julian Jeweil, Olivier Giacomotto, Lane 8, Yotto, Theo Kottis, Eelke Kleijn, Sebastien Leger, Joseph Ashworth, Roger Martinez, Dousk apart from others on their India tours. He has also played alongside Indian heavy weights like Arjun Vagale, Tuhin Mehta, Nikhil Chinapa, Rohit Barker, Dance Republic and BrownCoat. Goos was picked as one of ten rising DJ’s worldwide by Pioneer DJ for their Kuvo service. Goos’ sets have been featured on Evermix, Everything will be OK and 50:Hertz radio aired in Netherlands and US. Goos’ eclectic taste in music has helped him quickly carve a niche for himself in the Indian dance music scene.
