Daniel Poolen (NL)

Daniel Poolen is an experienced Sustainability Engineer and Journalist. As a Presenter and Investigative Journalist, he produced and advised several 'Green' Television Programs, focussed on both children and adults. Besides journalism, he assisted environmental organizations and led international projects tackling plastic pollution. Until last year, he was the Chief Plastic Officer of the social enterprise Plastic Mining Cooperation, a start-up that develops innovative solutions to tackle plastic pollution at the source. Currently, Daniel works as Project Coordinator Sustainability at the Royal Dutch Society of Engineers, where he is committed to improving society by tackling environmental and societal problems through technology, engineering, and sharing his experience.
