Dek Bass - Q&A & Film Screening 'Bass Boss'

Speakers: Rana Ghose, DJ Khabir

Q&A and film screening with director, writer and curator Rana Ghose and musical pioneer DJ Khabir, the founding force of the popular Dek Bass sound system movement in West Bengal, India. Dek Bass is a hugely exciting and inspiring grassroots and do-it-yourself music culture centered around massive hand-built sound systems, extreme sub bass – shrill treble effects. The scene is fundamentally competitive and community-led, with powerful and overwhelming clashes between heavily supported rival crews. Check out this thundering sound and its amazing story at this year’s ADE.

The time and location of the session are still to be announced.
