Brazil Calling: How a New Generation of Selectors, Clubs and Labels is Taking Over Global Electronic Music
Speakers: Mochakk, Solarce Brothers & more to be announced
Brazil is no longer just exporting isolated superstar DJs: it is becoming one of the most influential cultural engines in global electronic music. A new generation of Brazilian artists, labels, clubs, and communities is redefining what success in dance music looks and sounds like: less manufactured, more rooted in DJ culture, musical identity, crate digging, community, and emotional connection. At the center of this movement is Mochakk, whose rise over the last five years has helped shift the perception of Brazilian electronic music worldwide. Through his global success, with his event series Mochakk Calling, his club space OBLIQO in his hometown, and the relaunch of his imprint MOTRAXX, he has become both a global ambassador and a catalyst for a new wave of Brazilian talent. This panel explores how Brazil evolved into one of the most exciting electronic music ecosystems in the world, fuelled by strong local club culture, a new appreciation for selector-driven artistry, and artists bringing distinctly Brazilian rhythmic identities into global house and underground music.
