Curious and eclectic, Eli Iwasa has combined her diverse personal interests to build her professional career; over the years, she has created a unique universe where these passions coexist and complement one another. As one of the most sought-after DJs in the Brazilian electronic music scene, Eli has expanded her musical presence through other forms of artistic expression—such as fashion, singing, and digital influence—all underpinned by a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
The synergy of these disciplines has created a captivating figure who draws crowds across Brazil. Her more than two decades in electronic music showcase Eli’s sophisticated musical curation; she ignites dance floors with sets inspired by house, techno, indie dance, electro, and whatever else the moment calls for. Since the 1990s, she has performed at the country’s major festivals—including Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, Time Warp, Warung, and DGTL—cementing her status through successful international tours. She has played in cities such as Ibiza, Miami, Barcelona, Istanbul, London, Berlin, Bogotá, Paris, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Lisbon, and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, appearing at both solo gigs and festivals.
It is through this duality of passion and strategic vision that Eli also excelled in the field that marked the beginning of her journey: entrepreneurship. Alongside her artistic success, she founded three clubs in Campinas—a city whose electronic music scene was transformed by her arrival, as she moved there with the goal of revitalizing local nightlife. Today, she oversees the strategic direction of the clubs Caos, Gate 22, Pista 2002, and Galeria 1212, applying the same level of dedication found across the various strategic facets of her career. After years of using fashion to project her refined aesthetic sense, Eli signed with a modeling agency in 2020, embarking on a new professional path. For her, fashion and modeling complement her work as a DJ; they reveal as much about her as the music she plays, serving as a process of self-discovery and the uncovering of new facets of her personality.
Beyond fashion and cultural decentralization, Eli’s ventures also include Closer by Eli Iwasa—a curatorial project she conceived to create more space for women in the arts—and the label Heels of Love - that seeks to promote Brazilian artists to the international market.
