Against the Grain: Grime's Universal Impact
Speaker: P Money (MC, Artist)
P Money, South East London’s most celebrated grime MC, is coming to ADE Beats to headline an in-depth and vibrant talk on grime music’s game changing origin, present and future and its huge universal impact. Grime has always been the raw, underground pulse of London’s music scene, a vital cultural force communicated through clashes and pirate radio that reflects the city’s vibrant and diverse urban landscape. Growing into arguably the most exciting, ground-breaking and influential electronic music genre in Europe in the 21st century, grime impacted pop culture on a global scale. A leader of the underground scene, celebrated MC and community leader P Money embodies grime’s unapologetic, defiant, game changing spirit. Lengbaby invites P Money and Travspresents in this unique talk with key speakers from different corners and generations within the culture, to discuss impact and opportunities, trials and setbacks, and the evolution and the future of grime music - and its place as a disruptor, inspirator and creative engine within the wider, versatile British and global electronic music scene.
