Noisey presents: Q&A The Track Masters – Creating History and Keeping Ownership

Producers Poke and Tone are among the highest elite in modern popular music. With over 160 million records sold to date - New York natives Jean Claude ‘Poke’ Olivier from Crown Heights and Samuel ‘Tone’ Barnes from Fort Green, make up the legendary, multi-platinum music production team The Track Masters. Their resume reads like a who-is-who in pop culture, producing for the likes of Cardi B, 2Pac, Nas, 50 Cent, Jennifer Lopez, JAY Z, Joey Bada$$, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Wu-Tang Clan, The Notorious B.I.G., Total, Brandy, Cypress Hill, D’Angelo and many, many others.

With a host of awards to their name, including 5 Grammy Awards, 23 #1 Billboard singles, 13 #1 Billboard albums, and counting – The Track Masters continues to create history. With Next Era Publishing they work on new groundbreaking projects with the biggest names of today, both in the U.S. and, as part of a new project, in countries like the U.K., France and The Netherlands. At their Noisey presented panel at ADE Beats, Poke and Tone – Tone is also Head of A&R at Steve Stoute’s United Masters – will discuss the deliberate global approach of their new exciting project, their latest work with some of the greatest in the game, keeping ownership as a creative, and their unique vision as experienced artists and producers on music and the music industry today.
