Splice explores sampling and artist identity at ADE Sound Lab

Wednesday, 25 September 2019
The digital platform for music creation and collaboration deep dives into these subjects with Jayda G, Nicky Romero and others.

Splice is set to return to Amsterdam this autumn to host a panel, workshop, and a contest to send one lucky beat maker to ADE 2019. Mark your calendar for ADE Saturday, which sees the creator-to-creator marketplace present a workshop at the Compagnietheater, where Capsun and Nicky Romero will facilitate an in-depth walk-through of various sample creation techniques. Capsun (real name Jay Pulman) is a producer, sound designer and the Creative Director of Splice Sounds. During the session he will take Romero through his Splice Sample pack, discussing the different elements of his sound design and sample creation process.

A day earlier at De Brakke Grond, you can hear Beta Librae and Jayda G share insights on a more personal subject, in a conversation about the challenges, revelations and joys of finding one’s artist identity through touring the world, creating music, and finding a meaningful community within the continually evolving international club scene.
