Tschatsching (DE)

Tschatsching is a Cologne-based DJ whose sound is rooted in tribal percussion, heavy drums and expressive vocal elements. Female voices hold a particular significance in her sets: as a female artist, she sees music as a mouthpiece and intentionally works with voices and sounds
she feels connected to.

At the centre of her sets is the feeling of collective movement, when individual bodies become part of something shared and time starts to lose its meaning.

What she looks for on the dancefloor is a moment of dissolving; when time stops mattering and individual bodies become something shared. Besides (latin-)House or jazz elements, nature draws her as a counterforce to the club: where techno is hard and fast, she finds in birdsong, water and organic texture the opposite: softness and space.

Her upcoming debut EP explores this connection, bringing the atmosphere of the natural world into conversation with techno.
