Manchester based producer, live act and DJ, Timothy Clerkin occupies a niche corner of electronic music, armed with his own brand of techno-infused indie-disco.
His sound draws on the 80s/90s UK rave scene, a healthy dose of IDM, bad political satire, a lingering, teenage love of heavy metal, all underpinned by vintage synthesisers. Recent records, peppered with lo-fi rave, noise and ambient, are aimed squarely at the dance floor.
Heading up Ransom Note’s sub label Insult to Injury, Timothy has been putting out records selected by the likes of Slam, Optimo, Michael Mayer, HAAi, Erol Alkan, Lena Willikens and The Blessed Madonna.
