Widely regarded as one of the most innovative South African producers of his generation, Thakzin (born Thabang) has become a defining force in the global rise of African electronic music. His breakthrough 2022 single The Magnificent Dance sparked the emergence of 3Step, a hybrid of Amapiano, Deep House, and Afro-Electronic sounds, cementing his reputation as both pioneer and torchbearer of a new cultural movement.
