Quentin 'TinTin' Chambers (GB)

Across nearly four decades, Quentin (TinTin) Chambers has played an active role in some of electronic music’s defining shifts, from the emergence of acid house and rave culture to the arrival of the internet and the transformation of music distribution and discovery. Today he leads OpenLab, the independent Ibiza-born music and arts platform founded by Robert Miles.

Broadcasting from Ibiza on 106.4 FM and globally online, OpenLab takes a distinctly music-led approach to radio, with music, artistry and discovery sitting at the centre of its vision. Alongside broadcast, OpenLab works across events and cultural partnerships with artists, labels, venues and creative communities in Ibiza and internationally.

Quentin began his career as one of the early promoters of the UK acid house and rave movement, co-founding the seminal Energy raves in 1989 and helping shape a new generation of large-scale electronic music events. He went on to work as a DJ, producer and label head. In the late 1990s he became Managing Director of Groovetech, the first major digital brand in electronic music, pioneering the combination of online radio streaming and music retail on a single platform. He subsequently spent more than 15 years working across the emerging digital music industry, including senior roles with INgrooves and Consolidated Independent.
