Michael Klein (DE)

Born in Frankfurt, one of Germany's Techno capitals, Michael Klein's musical career first started with classical piano lessons with his mother at home. He only discovered the existence of electronic music in the 90s when he started diving into Frankfurt's nightlife which introduced him eventually to Techno. Feeling a strong passion for dark heavy basslines and wanting to understand the rules and methods of music production as well as the depth of the techno sound, he started studying audio engineering during the day and spun records at night time which helped defining his explicit music taste. After his studies, Michael moved to Berlin to set up his studio and to focus on his productions as one half of the formerly known DJ duo Klein & Meister. The hard work had finally paid off when DJ Emerson signed them on his acclaimed label Micro.fon where he recently had his debut release as a solo artist. His productions are recognised and supported by artists like Laurent Garnier, Chris Liebing. Speedy J, Danny Tenaglia, Drumcell, Dubfire, Carlo Lio and many more, which speaks about the quality and flavour of Michael's music. Always keeping up with the latest technology in the studio as well as on stage, his DJ setup features 4 decks within Traktor frequently supported by loops and tools on top coming from an additional drum machine making his sets sound diverse like a DJ set with an exclusive touch of a live act, pushing always the boundaries of his performance.
