When Dutch DJ/producer Mark Villa, Martinus Haase, first got his hands on electronic music production programs the benjamin was only 8 years old. Inspired by Avicii's melodic progression in 'Fade Into Darkness', Martinus started to experiment with electronic music production in - like so many - his bedroom. Within a relatively short period of time, he showed progress in producing skills and shortly after signing at Mixmash Records, his first release Venture (2015) hit the scene! The track got huge support in the club/festival scene and is still played in many international DJ sets. His second release ‘No Mercy’ (2016) also got huge support from well-respected colleagues and fans. It stormed the viral charts in Taiwan (reaching number one), was added to many playlists and recently edited by Galantis 'Runaway/No Mercy' who played the banger at UMF Miami and Coachella! Reaching well over 2 million plays recently on Spotify this gem is definitely one of his early milestones. Mark Villa: ‘It is crazy, two million plays and counting! I am really excited and now I am extra motivated to go for four million plays on my next releases.’ TOMORROWLAND AT 15! But spending countless hours in the studio is not the only thing Villa is doing, in 2016 he landed two huge gigs. Only 15 at the time, he played sets at Tomorrowland, Belgium, and Parookaville, Germany! Making his mark on the industry with flawless sets and great stage presence, Villa added: 'Performing is really the cherry on the cake after countless studio hours, I enjoy it to the fullest!'. 2017 furthermore adds playing the epic club Bootshaus in Germany together with Mixmash' founding father Laidback Luke to this list. With these two huge festivals under his belt, a massive club booking and another spot on Tomorrowland Belgium this year (2017), it will only be a matter of time before the junior will make his way to international main stages all year round!
