Tante Kana (FR)

Elkana Dalen, better known as Tante Kana, is a music enthusiast, cultural connector andknowledgeable voice with roots in Suriname’s interior. Based in France, connected to communities in Belgium and frequently present in the Netherlands, she closely follows themusical developments within her community. Not as a journalist, researcher or music industry professional, but as a passionate listener with a front-row seat — close to the source and always tuned in to what is moving. From this unique position, she often picks up early on the artists, sounds and movements emerging from Suriname’s interior and across the diaspora.
