Maartje Nelissen (NL)
Maartje Nelissen is the co-founder of The Food Line-up (Europe’s first B Corp certified caterer since 2020) and founder of Plant FWD, a community and event platform accelerating the protein transition. As a sustainable food strategist, she not only developed but also executed groundbreaking food concepts together with dozens of chefs and local heroes, serving tens of thousands of visitors at leading festivals and conferences such as DGTL, World Summit AI, and The Next Web.
She co-shaped iconic projects like Brasserie 2050 at Lowlands Festival, pioneering new ways to spark conversations about food system change. Beyond festivals, Maartje has helped organizations including SAIL Amsterdam, MOJO Concerts, and Postillion Hotels in building impactful F&B strategies and equipping them with the tools and frameworks to put those strategies into practice.
Her expertise lies in mobilizing large audiences with the right message: making menus and storytelling more appealing, and taking sustainability out of the dark-green niche through community building, campaigns, and smart strategy. As a speaker and advisor, she bridges impact with inspiration, advocating for food experiences that are delicious, scalable, and future-proof.
