Lucas Mees (NL)

Lucas Mees aka NarcoTech started DJ’ing beginning of the ’90s, raving from Amsterdam to Tokyo on to Thailand and Goa. In 1993 Lucas secured a residency at the legendary club Mazzo introducing ‘Goa trance’ to Amsterdam on his Sunday night slot ‘The Gathering’. Lucas his unique blend of techno/trance quickly made the Mazzo Sunday’s one of Amsterdams most exciting club nights of the 90’s.

Fueled by the success of his Mazzo residency it didn’t take long before Lucas secured many invitations and residencies in clubs, parties and festivals around the globe.

In 1995 a chance meeting with producers Lorenzo Zoeter and Patrice van der Berg led to the formation of Metal Spark (M-Track/ Blue Room). After the sad demise of Club Mazzo due to fire, Lucas remained active as a DJ/programmer and designer for Club ‘The Buddha’ in Amsterdam until 2003. Switching his professional activities from DJing to graphic design in 2004 he remained a fanatic collector of electronic/techno music.

After a hiatus of two decades Lucas appeared back on the decks at local Amsterdam parties in 2017 under a new alias, ‘NarcoTech’, which perfectly describes his taste in dance music. For this occasion Lucas will be digging into his old record collection for a classic NarcoTech vinyl set. Expect the unexpected for this set, come dance and N-joy..!
