Raised in Los Angeles, Kam started spinning at an early age. In the mid 80’s, Kam was
introduced to some of the most influential Hip-Hop figures in the scene, like Ice Cube, Dr.
Dre, Rodney O and Joe Cooley who visited his parents fast food restaurant “FATBURGER”
regularly, after recording sessions at the local studio. With such a wealth of talent around
him, it was no surprise Kam spent most of his days learning about different styles of music
and mixing techniques that were developing at the time.
In the early 90’s, Kam had started spinning at local house parties, underground warehouse raves
and clubs in the San Fernando Valley and Downtown LA. In 1994 (at the age of 18) Kam was given the
title "DJ KAM" was a rotating resident at one of the hottest Hollywood nightclubs at the time called “ARENA”,
along side resident "DJ IRENE".
Since then, Kam has played at clubs and festivals across the globe.
Including; Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Mexico, United States (Hawaii, Las Vegas, Texas
Chicago, New York and Miami just name a few) for labels such as Ministry of Sound & Hed Kandi.
Some past residencies include festivals such as Monster Massive, The Love Festival and Together as One
for Goventures and Insomniac, in addition to clubs like Monday Social at Sound Nightclub and Focus OC.
In 1997, Kam started, producing music at 42nd St. Studios and released his first original
track for the Go Ventures’ New Years Eve compilation “Epic ’98”. In 1999, Kam released his
next track on Deaf Dog Music (Chicago) with other artists such as Glenn Underground,
Lady D, and Halo of H-Foundation. Today, Kam has multiple releases under his alias’
DJ KAM & KAMEO on labels such as Bunny Tiger, Terminator Records and Saturday Night Session,
including collaborations with artists such as Sharam Jey, Nonfiction and Alexander Technique.
Music has always been Kam’s ultimate passion. He feels that creating music and playing
to a like-minded audience, allows him to take the listener on an audio journey.
