Criztoz (GB)

Criztoz is a UK DJ, vinyl selector, live streamer, event organiser and community builder, based on the Sunshine Coast. He is best known as the founder of 45 Day, a global celebration of 7-inch vinyl and the DJs who play it.

He plays exclusively on 45s. Sets jump across funk, reggae, hip-hop, Latin, cumbia, jazz, covers, world music and occasional rave or jungle textures. He treats DJing as storytelling: follow the crowd, mix unexpected records, keep the format as the identity.

How he got there

In 2017 he won the Shindig Festival DJ competition as part of Jelly Funk Allstars (with Adrian and Toby). That win opened the Ghetto Funk nightclub stage at the festival. About nine years later he was back at Shindig with Global Funk Fam, still talking about 45s culture, dubplates and community rather than a single genre.

There is no widely published birth name or early-life profile. What is public is the work: vinyl-only selecting, building a small international 7" community, putting kids on decks, and treating mental health as part of the conversation around DJing.
