Carlos Manaça (PT)

Carlos Manaca is one of the main Portuguese DJ's and Producers. Being inside a Dj booth since 1986, his perspective is still the same: entertain people as much as he can, while having fun doing what he likes the most: DJying! Being resident of two of the main Clubs in Portugal during the 90’s (CAIS 447 – Oporto, ROCK’s Club - Vila Nova Gaia) and playing in the biggest Dance Music events in Portugal, gave him recognition as one of the main DJs on the Portuguese Dance Scene. Internationally, his name started to have some exposure with the worldwide release in 1995 by TRIBAL AMERICA of his remixes of Oporto’s Dance Act OLN “Oporto Deep Cuts EP”. Later in 2000 creates MAGNA RECORDINGS and in 2001 co-produces with Chus & Ceballos “The Strong Rhythm”, released on Stereo Productions, and included in several International Dance compilations, like the acclaimed “DEEP DISH Global Underground: MOSCOW”, while topping Dance charts all over the Globe. Based in Madrid since 2002, his DJ schedule is mostly in Portugal, but he still has time to play regularly in Countries like Japan, Switzerland, Brazil, Luxemburg, England, Poland, Croatia, Germany, Belgium, Mexico, Russia, USA and Spain, where he plays since 1993. 2015 was his best year as a Producer, with releases on Labels like Dubfire's SCI+TEC, Funk'n Deep, Transmit Recordings, Toolroom, Kinetika, Stereo Productions, District Audio, Orange Recordings besides his own MAGNA RECORDINGS. In 2016 celebrates his "30 YEARS" of DJying. An amazing number in these days, considering the ever shifting Dance Scene and Music. But he's more excited than ever, planning a great Year of Music and a special event to celebrate his "30 Years". Stay tuned.
