Bolier (NL)

Artist & Speaker
Dance music is going through constant changes. Moving from high energy vibes to deep and compelling sounds is part of its DNA, a variety that keeps on surprising and activating audiences worldwide. Bolier is one of those artists responsible for this, taking his electronic sounds to another, more organic and emotional level with every release. Even though the first Bolier records only surface late 2014, he's not new to the game. Just like dance music this Dutch producer has a history of his own, gaining lots of experience under several projects, finetuning his productional talent in various genres from mainstage electro to catchy house music. A collaboration with Dutch duo Redondo by the end of 2014 leads him to new territory. 'Sunshine', released on renowned imprint Spinnin' Deep, gains the support from several tastemaker DJs, and taking on a more organic, pop influenced deep house sound the record also strikes a chord with both parties as well as their audience. Follow-up records like 'Every Single Piece', another Redondo collab featuring US indie band She Keeps Bees, 'Forever And A Day' (working with Natalie Peris), 'Ragga' (working with LVNDSCAPE) and 'Lost & Found' (again working with Redondo, this time featuring Bitter's Kiss) perfect the sound even more -blending sweet guitar chords with touching vocals and a delicate groove. His latest solo single 'Sweet Love’, released early April 2016 through Spinnin’ Deep, is again picked up pretty well, reaching over 2 million views on Youtube. June 2016 sees him move even to bigger grounds, when he and fellow Dutch artist LVNDSCAPE release an official collab with Bob Marley, reworking the classic record 'Is This Love' into a stunning contemporary pop anthem. Released through Tuff Gong, Island Records and Spinnin' Records, the track scores over a million Spotify plays within a week, quickly turning into a 2016 summer hit. It's music appealing to both dance as well as mainstream crowds, underscored when Bolier is mentioned as 'artist to watch in 2016' by Spotify Benelux - providing him with the confidence to continue on his journey. "These are records breathing positivity", he says. "And that's something precious in these times, with so much going on in the world. It's music that could connect people, whether it's by the dance rhythms, or the emotional sounds in there - you'll feel it one way or another." So, here's a DJ/producer on the rise, using his broad taste and experience to shape a brand new sound in dance music. Bolier is making moves, and they're bound to touch you soon enough.
