Ferenc E. van der Sluijs is in a class of one for his tireless and enduring devotion to music of all descriptions. It's a cold hard fact that few DJ's have his knowledge of sound. It stems from him being the founding father of cult radio community CBS and the driving force behind Intergalactic FM - the radio show from the Dutch West Coast that champions old, new, rare, and obscure sounds from italo to techno, horror soundtracks to house, and is online 24/7. His passion for sound is unbridled, and that unadulterated love always shines though in the inimitable DJ sets he performs all around the world.

I-F, short for Interr-Ference, Beverly Hills 808303. Affiliations: Murder Capital, the Hotmix cartel, The Parallax Corporation, the Viewlexx empire, Interdimensional Transmissions, Top Secret/Test Series; ties to Disko B, other covert recording outfits. Pushes product throughout the globe, specializes in stuttering 808s and throbbing basslines, and inspirational to the careers of countless electro acts on the come up. Headquartered in The Hague, Holland, known to have alliances with electro brokers in Rotterdam (southwestern Holland connection), known associate of Unit Moebius, the Bunker Records posse, and other black budget artistic projects.

His mission is simple: to make people listen to different music. It has lead him to create the disco music side-project The Parallax Corporation, his radio show at home, and his various labels to sponsor unknown producers.

Raw, independent, unpretentious and fun—it isn't hard to see why artists from The Hague are followed with such feverish devotion. Legowelt is the city's production powerhouse, Guy Tavares and his Bunker Records label have the history and famed punk attitude, and I-F is the man who, through Intergalactic FM, has built a global community around his crew's sound. (To give you an idea of its following, last year the station appealed for donations after it was hit with a €5K tax bill—it took 36 hours to raise the money.) The station bubbles 24 hours a day with the sounds of Italo, electro, minimal wave, disco, ambient and whatever other weirdo genres strike Ferenc van der Sluijs' fancy. It's been going since 2008, the follow-up to Cybernetic Broadcasting System, a similarly respected radio platform that was known for unearthing Italo gems. It's been a good few years since van der Sluijs released anything, but as a producer he has an incredible back catalogue, which includes the 1998 album Fucking Consumer and the extended acidic series Lost Tracks For Lost Minds. Through his labels Viewlexx and Murder Capital, he's also released a wealth of inspired music from other artists.

Van der Sluijs been plying his trade since the early '90s, but 2015 is shaping up to be a key period for him. It's Viewlexx's 20th anniversary this year, and he's marked the occasion with a compilation EP that includes an I-F collaboration with Legowelt—the first time Van der Sluijs has been in the studio in years. Murder Capital is set to release a couple more 12-inches from the enigmatic Gesloten Cirkel, one of our favourite producers. And in the spirit of all this, Van der Sluijs recently linked up with his friend and long-time collaborator Intergalactic Gary for a party at Zahara, their favourite cocktail bar in The Hague. Van der Sluijs played only vinyl from the Viewlexx and Murder Capital catalogue, and here we present two-and-a-half hour section of his set. Standby for some raw shit.
