Minimal Collective x Oude Kerk: Post-Space - Friday
From Thursday 22 to Saturday 24 October 2026, Minimal Collective presents the second edition of its ongoing site-oriented listening series, Post-Space, in collaboration with Oude Kerk and ADE Arts & Culture. Across three days, sound and visual art enter into dialogue with the distinctive architecture and acoustics of Amsterdam’s oldest building.
On Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th, Post-Space presents two distinct evening programmes of live performances and DJ sets, featuring an audiovisual world premiere and several debut collaborations.
On Friday, local artist lazergazer opens the evening with a DJ set. Berlin-based Pavel Milyakov and Finnish artist Tapio Viitasaari perform Melancholia by Yana Pavlova, an electroacoustic work featuring the church’s organ. Mexican-Norwegian artist Carmen Villain presents her latest album, Memoria, live, before emerging local artists Lulá Luna & Nessim close the night with a DJ set.
For its second edition, Post-Space expands its format with Hieropixel, a new audiovisual installation by Tharim Cornelisse. Using images and sound recordings from the Oude Kerk as source material, the work transforms elements of the building into an evolving audiovisual composition. In addition to being presented during the church’s daytime opening hours from Thursday through Saturday, Hieropixel also accompanies the live programmes on Friday and Saturday night in an adapted form. The work marks the first iteration of an evolving visual method within Post-Space, responding to the spatial character of each location.
The installation and live performances come together within a wider listening environment developed specifically for the Oude Kerk. Building on research conducted during last year’s edition, Kantarion Sound returns with a custom sound system that responds to the building’s distinctive acoustics, while seating by côte&ciel introduces a physical dimension to the act of listening.
Through art, sound and editorial storytelling, Post-Space enters into dialogue with the church, exploring memory, histories and embodied deep listening.
The Oude Kerk, in the middle of the historic city centre, is a place for contemporary art and Amsterdam’s oldest building. Over the centuries, the church grew from a small wooden chapel (circa 1250) to an extensive hall church (circa 1570). Today, the building is considered an important (inter)national monument. The Oude Kerk invites artists to create new works exclusively for this location. The programme connects past, present and future through the interplay of ancient heritage and contemporary art. The new works artists and musicians create here offer new perspectives on history, the world around us, and the future.

Festival FAQ
ADE Festival tickets are sold individually by the festival event organizers, but you’ll also be able to purchase them through the ticket links on the event pages on our website here.
Not to worry! Make sure to contact the event (or their ticketing provider) you are visiting as soon as possible with as many details about your order; name, email address, amount of tickets, etc. Once they've recovered your order, the tickets can be resent to your email.
Need help to find your event's contact details? Message us at [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.
Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.
Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!
Yes, the ADE Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events.
Be aware though that there are over 1,200 events during ADE that you can enter with the Pro Pass wristband and that ADE cannot guarantee access. There is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for Pro Pass holders. This means for some of the more crowded events you have to arrive early. Once capacity is reached, we will go over in a full-for-now policy. The festival event organizer will decide when and if more people are allowed to go in.
The ADE Pro Pass is the perfect fit if you are planning on enjoying the combination of day and night events. If you want guaranteed access to a particular festival event, we advise you to get a single festival ticket instead.
We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.
Please keep in mind: we love being your annual host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy yourself responsibly.
