Audiomack presents: Africa’s Club Sounds - A Global Strategy
Speakers: Charlotte Bwana (Vice President of Marketing, Audiomack), Felix de Jong (Senior Marketing Manager & Head of Electronic, Audiomack), Tyler ICU (South African DJ / Producer), and Temi Adenji (Managing Director, Warner Music Africa)
A deep dive into the on-going rise and extensive success of Africa’s urgent electronic music sounds and scenes, from the impact of amapiano in the electronic space to the influence of afrobeats, gqom and African rap music, dance music and DJ culture in general. And how Africa’s exciting regional scenes come together to create a global movement by creating strong artist and industry relations between Africa’s different scenes and countries, as well as building solid linkups with artists and markets abroad. Music streaming platform Audiomack is massively present on the African continent and plays an essential role in uncovering and helping to push new urgent artists, sounds and scenes from the continent to the globe. In this talk Charlotte Bwana, Audiomack’s Vice President of Marketing (Africa, Europe and MENA), and Felix de Jong, Senior Marketing Manager and Head of Electronic, are joined by South African DJ and producer Tyler ICU, the fast rising amapiano star, who made huge impact with his ground-breaking global banger ‘Mnike’, and Temi Adenji, Managing Director of Warner Music Africa, who is firmly at the forefront of pushing Africa’s Club Sounds to the world.
