The culture is essential for the House and Club scene. House culture is rooted in black history, LGBTQI+ community, underground clubs and freedom of expression. During Rooted in Culture we present club culture through movement, education and inspiration. In this program we bring you food for thought and liberation of the body in collaboration with the Dutch Housedance Community, Steppin Into Tomorrow and Lynnee Denise.
Get inspired during the Housedance workshop guided by Zev, who is one of the early clubheads in the Netherlands. While Lynnee Denise and Steppin Into Tomorrow take you on their journey through the history of House and Disco with video and audio samples. After the lecture by Lynnee Denise and Steppin Into Tomorrow we bring back the vibes back to the dancefloor. DJ collective Chill on Tuesday and Chocolate Brown will go deep with a back to back session. Rooted in Culture will get you moving in different forms!
Festival FAQ
The first huge waves of artists for ADE 2023 have been revealed but more events and artists will still be announced. You can expect the full line-up mid-September.

Not to worry! Make sure to contact the event (or their ticketing provider) you are visiting as soon as possible with as many details about your order; name, email address, amount of tickets, etc. Once they've recovered your order, the tickets can be resend to your email.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.
Please double-check the promotors or venues website to be sure you can enter the event!
Yes, all official ADE Festival events listed on the ADE website are accessible with your ADE Pro Pass (limited capacity at venues). When ADE Pro Pass capacity has been reached, an one-in-one-out rule applies.
