Our House, Meduza & James Hype

Our House, Meduza & James Hype

The chart topping, hit making combination of the British, James Hype and Italian Meduza will be taking their hugely successful Ibizan residency ‘Our House’ on the road for an Amsterdam Dance Event edition. James Hype & Meduza present Our House will be taking place on Friday October 20th at the Hembrugterrein. The Hembrugterrein is an iconic area in Amsterdam Noord, which has been the backdrop of many major dance music festivals over the years. Aside from the two headliners, GENESI and Tita Lau have been added to the line-up as support.

James Hype and Meduza have long been collaborating in bringing their shared vision to life. Their shared performance at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam during ADE 2022 turned out to be the cradle of their future collaborative event concept. Now, one year later, James Hype and Meduza have managed to level up and introduce their Our House concept to the world. Our House has become an unmissable part of Hï Ibiza’s summer programming and is quickly on its way to become a leading brand in dance music. By branching out with exclusive shows around the globe, Our House’s enormous potential is undeniable.

James Hype and Meduza are individually responsible for some of the biggest hits in recent years. With Piece Of Your Heart, Lose Control and Paradise, Meduza has single handedly ushered in a new age of electronic music fit for the masses. James Hype blew up in the scene after his hit record ‘More Than Friends’ and has dominated the air waves ever since the release of his highly infectious global smash Ferrari. Just recently James Hype collaborated with mega act Major Lazer on their new release number 1.

Hembrugterrein

Taets is part of the inspiring industrial heritage on the Hembrugterrein. This monumental industrial area from 1897 is situated right on the border of Amsterdam, directly on the Noordzeekanaal. It lies at the heart of the UNESCO world heritage site, the ‘Stelling van Amsterdam’, and is the city’s new vibrant breeding ground for creativity, art and culture.

In 2004, Taets was one of the first to be captivated by the magic of this terrain which was still inaccessible at the time. Back then, the terrain was owned by the Ministry of Defence and was strictly prohibited. Taets’ Gallery was the first cultural initiative on the site. At that time the terrain was wild, trees grew through the old dilapidated buildings, and the area was not yet cleared of possible explosives in the ground.

Since then, the Hembrugterrein has become a breeding ground for creative instigators, social entrepreneurs, and cultural institutes. The terrain still kept her wildness and magic.

The Hembrugterrein has a number of restaurants and cafés, various museums, a small podium, artist’s studios, and design shops, and it regularly hosts concerts and festivals.
